Overview adding new symbols

To add symbols to your AIQ historical database, use the AIQ Historical Data CD in conjunction with the AIQ Data Manager

If you add a new symbol by clicking on Ticker, New and you type in the symbol you wish to add, the Data Manager will first attempt to locate the symbol on The CD (make sure you have the Historical CD in your drive). If it is a symbol that is not on the CD, you will still be able to add it to your database (the history of the symbol will be retrieved with your next download through Data Retrieval).

If you have a number of symbols you wish to add, use Manager, Advanced Ticker Import Utility from the Data Manager menu, in Import Task, select By Ticker Symbol. Type in the symbols you wish to add sepearted by semi colons. Click on Next through the remaining screens. The utility will search the Historical Data CD for all of your selections. Any symbols not found on the CD you can add using Ticker, New from the Data Manager menu.
