Why doesn't your volume and closing price agree with my newspaper?
Back to myTrack
0 The volume and prices we display throughout the trading reflect only the activity on that securities primary exchange.  Many securities trade on more than one exchange, for instance the primary exchange for General Electric in the New York Stock Exchange, but it also trades on regional exchanges like Philadelphia and Boston.  The newspapers usually display what is called the composite data.  The composite data shows the total volume for all exchanges and the last price the stock traded on any of the exchanges that it trades on.
